Following up on EuroMarine Steering Committee decisions, dates have now been set for the next EuroMarine yearly meeting :
- EuroMarine 2017 General Assembly meeting will take place in Brussels on 7-8 February 2017
- A side event (provisionally titled ’blue science for blue growth’) will be organised at the EU Parliament on 9 Feb. 2017.
You are kindly invited to book these dates in your diary.
I take this opportunity to also update you on two important EuroMarine matters :
EuroMarine 2016 call for proposals :
The 28 proposals that EuroMarine members submitted under EuroMarine 2016 call are under review (deadline : 26 Sept.).
The Steering Committee will make final decisions based on the outcome of the review process during its 7 Oct. 2016 meeting. Results should be notified to proposers by 14 Oct. 2016, as planned.
The outcome will be published on the new EuroMarine website soon after.
EuroMarine new website
A first version of the new website, including most (but not yet all) features listed in the specification document, is now almost ready for public release.
Initial contents have been imported, or else entered by Eva Greene (EuroMarine communication officer at AquaTT) and the Secretariat.
The website will be publicly launched early September (after the holiday period). During the holiday period Eva Green will keep posting news on the EuroMarine mailing list (please send any announcement you would like to see posted to firstname.lastname@example.org).
