Postdoctoral Fellow for Resource Assessment on Marine Renewable Energy

The postdoctoral fellow will lead the experimental research on scientific aspects associated with resource assessment and site characterization for tidal energy. Research will focus on physical impacts of Marine Hydrokinetic (MHK) devices in the environment, and wake interactions to optimize turbine arrays.
The applicant should have relevant expertise and interest in collaborating with researchers working on field investigations and numerical modeling. The position based in Santiago, Chile, is available for 12 months, with a possibility of extension for additional years.

The Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering Department at PUC is the leading institution in Latin America on research and teaching in water resources, hydrodynamics, and environmental processes for more than a century. The laboratory of 625 m2 includes multiple flumes with advanced instrumentation. The undergraduate program of the School of Engineering at PUC is ABET accredited, and the PhD program is the largest in the country.
